Factorise quadratics & solve equations
Learn to factorise quadratic expressions and solve quadratic equations using multiple methods.
Inequalities and regions (including quadratics)
Represent and solve linear and quadratic inequalities on number lines and graphs.
Algebraic fractions & rearranging formulae
Simplify algebraic fractions and rearrange complex formulae with confidence.
Quadratic sequences
Identify, generate and find the nth term of quadratic sequences.
NOVEMBER START

Course 2: Numbers

Ratio (including combined & algebraic ratio)
Solve complex ratio problems including algebraic ratios and combined ratios.
Powers and Roots
Work confidently with indices, roots, and fractional powers.
Surds arithmetic (including expanding double brackets)
Simplify, manipulate and expand expressions involving surds.
Rationalise the denominator
Master rationalising denominators in surd expressions.
Direct and Inverse proportion
Solve problems involving direct, inverse and combined proportion.
JANUARY START

Course 3: Geometry

Similar Shapes (linear, area & volume scale factors)
Apply similarity to solve problems involving length, area and volume scale factors.
Vectors and Geometric proof
Use vector methods to prove geometric results and solve vector problems.
Area of triangle and Sine rule
Apply the sine rule and area formula to solve triangle problems.
Cosine rule
Use the cosine rule to find sides and angles in non-right-angled triangles.
Graph transformations (including trigonometric graphs)
Transform and sketch trigonometric graphs and other functions.
